The June Bank Holiday weekend every year took place Carlow Regatta. This year celebrating Carlow rowing for 160 years.
Carlow Regatta took place 1st and 2nd June 2019. The weather was good: 13-17 degrees, cloudy but not raining.
The competition took place on the Barrow River, the second longest river in Ireland. The main organizer is the rowing club Carlow Rowing Club, which was established in 1859 and is one of the oldest sports clubs in Ireland.
The first regatta in Carlow took place in 1859. So one of the oldest rowing festivals in the country celebrating its 160th year in 2019. Eights, quads and scull racing from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Overseas clubs competing in 2019 to mark the 160th anniversary.
